Job Summary: The Workshop and Repair Specialist (WRS) at the Operations Center in Midland, TX is responsible for the organization and functionality of the workshop. Additionally, WRS is to act as a diagnostic and repair specialist by using expertise in diagnostics and repairs to troubleshoot and fix any issues that arise with Percepto’s Drone-in-a-Box system.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full diagnosis of malfunctioning DiB system hardware by examining the equipment, testing components, and troubleshooting issues
- Complete repairs of malfunctioning systems by mending or replacing faulty components, cleaning and lubricating components, etc.
- Perform repair tests and validations on the hardware using Percepto’s integrated software to ensure proper functionality
- Perform regular maintenance on the operating fleet systems within the inventory to ensure the drones and base stations function optimally. Additionally, provide support by monitoring preventative maintenance on the deployed systems
- Maintain the system records of maintenance and repairs/replacements current at all times \for all the workshop’s activity
- Provide timely status of repairs to Delivery Manager(s) and other internal stakeholders
- Coordinate flight validations with the Delivery Manager
- Perform all DiB system upgrades to systems in workshop inventory: updating camera, components, etc.
- As part of the daily course of responsibilities, work with SW packages such as flight controller and stabilizer GUIs, Linux, and task management SW such as Jira, Monday.com, etc.
- Maintain good working order and inventory of workshop tools, supplies and consumables; make sure that the workshop equipment is properly maintained and inspected; place purchase orders when required
- Safely operate a forklift to access the equipment for fixing/testing/validating.
- Keep the workshop and storage area in a neat and orderly condition to cultivate productivity and safety
- Responsible for ensuring that safety regulations are followed at all times while work is performed in the workshop
- Be able to maintain proper storage and labeling of any hazardous materials that are used and present in the workshop
Requirements:
- Experience in repairing drones, UAS, and other related hardware is a must
- Basic knowledge of the soldering process and techniques, and additional on-the-job training will be provided
- Linux experience, shell operation - Must
- Ability to read and review engineering drawings – Must
- Knowledge of OSHA Materials Handling and Storage Regulations
- Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
- Demonstrate a proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
- Experience at component level repair & micro-soldering preferred
- Attention to details

Education and Licensing Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- FAA Part 107 license - Plus
- A valid Forklift license- plus
- OSHA Training Certification is a plus
- Relevant technical courses/diplomas (electronics, soldering, etc)
